Ben Silverman (pictured above looking like a total tool) was once touted as a wunderkind at NBC, rising up the ranks at lightning speed and ultimately attaining the position of Co-Chairman where he was responsible for the bulk of programming that has appeared on NBC the past several years. Yes, the same years that NBC has been sitting in the ratings cellar. Silverman was only able to deliver one hit during his tenure, namely The Office. Which is kind of funny considering The Office was originally created in the UK where it was much more humorous than the sterile U.S. version. Other that, Silverman’s bright ideas included Knight Rider, Southland, Chuck, My Own Worst Enemy and Kath & Kim.
Enjoy your downward spiral, wunderkind.
