It has been known for a few days now that Sony plans on bringing their PS3 hit LittleBigPlanet to the PSP, but that’s all we knew. Now we have a few new tidbits of information that should get fans of Media Molecule’s platform masterpiece excited…or not. Mark Valledor, marketing manager for Sony, wrote a post at the official PlayStation blog where he announced that Media Molecule would not be handling the PSP version. Instead, Sony’s Cambridge studio will be handling the job and Mark is promising an authentic experience:
Building the game from the ground up, fans can expect new SackBoy adventures with the same play, create and share experience made just for gamers on-the-go — not to mention, brand new levels and environments — all of which are being created specifically for the PSP!
Only problem I see is that LittleBigPlanet can be a pretty frustrating game on the PS3 when using a decent controller. How annoying will movement be when using the PSP’s nearly worthless controls? I shudder at the thought.
